Love Island will say goodbye tonight to two contestants tonight but many fans are fearing the worst as they claim the ITV2 show is “fixed”.
At the end of Friday's episode, the Islanders were tasked with picking the least compatible couples and it was revealed both Lana Jenkins and Ron Hall and Will Young and Jessie Wynter received two votes each while Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan bagged just one vote.
But, in a move that angered Love Island viewers, all the three couples were told they were at risk of being dumped as the public scrambled to save their favourites.
Fuming about the decision, one fan tweeted: “Looks like the 2 best couples have been thrown under the bus again. Jessie & Will to go.”
“If Ron & Kai don’t get to stand next to each other in their suits in the final- I’m flying down to South Africa and producers can catch these hands,” added another Love Island watcher.
“If Jessie and Will leave (which they most likely will) this is about to be the worst finals lineup in the history of LI,” grumbled a third.
While a fourth viewer threatened: “big mistake putting up these 3 couples for elimination producers if rana have not made the finals then you best sleep with one eye open.”
And another fan tweeted: “How can Kai and Sanam be vulnerable when the other two couples got two votes each? What a fix man #LoveIsland,“ while another wrote: “I don't understand how having one vote makes them as vulnerable as the couples with 2 votes. Fix! #loveisland.“
A third said: “How are they criticising Kai and Sanam for not turning their heads- surely that proves their compatibility?? #loveisland,“ and another added: “Tanya thinks Kai and Sanam aren’t compatible bc they HAVENT argued??? Make it make sense #loveIsland.“
Body language expert Darren Stanton, who has been dubbed a “human lie detector”, believes he already knows who will be crowned king and queen of the villa.
Viewers will find out tonight which couple will get the boot but Darren is convinced one pairing is the real deal.
Speaking on behalf of Betfair he said: ”I am going to stand by the prediction I made several weeks ago that Shaq and Tanya will be crowned the winners.
”This is based on the deep level of connection that exists between the two.”
Considered by many to be one of the strongest couples from the start, Tanya stunned viewers when she had her head turned by new boy Martin Akinola in Casa Amor while Shaq chose to stay faithful.
But Darren thinks this is what has made them the main contenders for the crowns.
He said: ”They have obviously been through a lot in the villa, where they have been tested on numerous occasions.
”However, their level of rapport, connection and reciprocal liking has definitely allowed them to overcome their issues.”
Love Island airs tonight at 9pm on ITV2
