Two people have died following a crash in Bristol, police have confirmed. Emergency services rushed to the scene of the collision in Canford Lane, Westbury-on-Trym at around 2.50pm on Monday (April 17).
The crash involved a pedestrian and a car. The pedestrian, a man in his 70s, was pronounced dead at the scene while a woman from the vehicle, also in her 70s, died later in hospital.
The road remained closed for much of the day as motorists were urged to avoid the area. After carrying out initial investigation work, officers from Avon and Somerset Police have now issued a public appeal.

The force are keen to hear from anyone who saw the crash. Likewise, they are urging anyone with relevant dash cam footage to get in touch.
