- The incident occurred about 6pm in the Manhattan Valley neighborhood near Amsterdam Avenue and West 109th Street.
- The 61-year-old driver of a black Mercedes-Benz SUV allegedly struck multiple parked vehicles before jumping the curb and crashing into a group of men outside a barber shop.
- The deceased victims were aged 35 and 46; one was reportedly a father of triplets and the other a doorman.
- The driver was taken into custody, and the NYPD's Collision Investigation Squad is investigating the crash.
