Kannur: Two people were killed, and three others injured by a family residing at Pariyaram in a road accident after their car collided with another car at Nellunni near Mattanur in the wee hours of Sunday, police said.
According to police, the deceased were identified as Navas (40), his son Yasin (7), while his wife Haseera and two children, Risan and Fathima, suffered injuries and have been admitted to a private hospital in Kannur.
The incident took place around midnight. When the family was returning to their house after attending a marriage reception at Pazhassi near Iritty, their car collided with another car coming from Kannur.
Both of them died on the spot, and the bodies were shifted to Kannur district hospital for a postmortem, police said.
