A police car heading to the scene of a crash in Nottinghamshire was involved in a collision with another vehicle. The patrol car was called to a crash on London Road in Balderton at 10.10am on Saturday, December 17, with an air ambulance landing nearby at Coronation Street Park at around 11am.
But while driving to the scene it was involved in a collision with another car. A police officer suffered minor injuries and the woman driving the other vehicle was taken to hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-altering or life-threatening.
Nottinghamshire Police said an investigation was being conducted into the crash. Inspector Samantha Birch, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Officers were called to London Road, Balderton, Newark, at around 10.10am this morning (17 December 2022) following reports of a crash.

“While responding to the incident a police vehicle was in collision with another car. A police officer suffered minor injuries and the woman driving the other vehicle was taken to hospital with injuries which are not currently believed to be life-altering or life-threatening.
“An investigation is underway into the cause of the collision. We know the incident impacted on traffic on a busy road and would like to thank members of the public for their patience.”
