Two people have been injured after a blaze broke out in a block of tenement flats in Glasgow.
Five fire engines and ambulance crews scrambled to Fairlie Park Drive in Partick after receiving the alarm at 4.14pm on Tuesday, July 13. On their arrival, two occupants were found to be injured due to the fire, with medics rushing one patient to a nearby hospital.
A height vehicle was among the apparatus used by firefighters to tackle the flames.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) said: "We were alerted at 4.14pm on Tuesday, July 12, to reports of a dwelling fire at Fairlie Park Drive, Glasgow. Operations Control mobilised five fire appliances and one height vehicle and firefighters extinguished a fire affecting the first floor of a four-storey tenement building.
“Two casualties were in the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service and crews left after ensuring the area was made safe.”
A spokesperson for the Scottish Ambulance Service (SAS) added: "We received a call at 4.17pm from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service to attend an incident on Fairlie Park Drive in Glasgow. We dispatched one ambulance to the scene and transported one patient to hospital."
