The Humble Bundle August 2023 subscription is available now for those who’ve signed up, and it includes two of the best PC games around. Disco Elysium: The Final Cut and Chivalry 2. Also included are Road 96 and Trek to Yomi, alongside a handful of other indie games.
These offerings are separate from Humble Bundle’s usual bundles, where you pay a small price and get several games. Humble Bundle’s subscription service charges a flat monthly fee in exchange for roughly half a dozen games, and they stay in your library forever.
This month’s spotlight games couldn’t be more different from each other. Disco Elysium is a brilliant narrative RPG built in classic style with skill checks, secrets everywhere, and a tangled mess of character stories that you may be able to unravel – or set on fire and make a hundred times worse. It follows a disgraced detective as he tries to solve a strange murder case in a depressing city where most people have given up hope and stew in cynicism instead.
Meanwhile, Chivalry 2 sends you into battle as a medieval knight armed with a chicken or some other bizarre weapon and has you fight with dozens of other players to defend your honor and superiority. It’s a surprisingly in-depth hack-and-slash action game that’s an absolute blast if you’re playing in multiplayer with friends.
The subscription fee is $12.99 per month, which is less than or about equal to what these games usually go on sale for. You can check out August 2023’s selection on the Humble Bundle page.
