Two Edinburgh men have been convicted of attempted murder following a "violent" attack in the capital in 2020.
Paul O’Docherty, 30 and Jake O’Docherty, 27, were found guilty on Tuesday (March 1) following a trial at the High Court in Glasgow.
The pair had been responsible for the attack on a 34-year-old man near the Meadows during the evening of Sunday, September 13, 2020.
The man had been targeted on an alleyway off Panmure Place, with the incident having a "lasting impact" on his life since.

Both Paul O’Docherty and Jake O'Docherty are due to be sentenced at the end of March.
Detective Sergeant Keith Taylor said: “Both O’Dochertys subjected this man to a violent attack which has had lasting impact on the life of the victim.

“They will now face the consequences of their brutal behaviour following this guilty verdict.
“While it cannot change what happened, this will hopefully provide some closure for the victim.”
The two men are due to be sentenced on Monday, 28 March.
