Police have issued an update after a "horrific" dog attack in Walton yesterday.
Officers were called to Goodison Road, at around 12.30am on Thursday, April 20, to reports two women were attacked by two Staffordshire Terriers outside a property. The women were taken to hospital with "severe injuries" where they remain today for treatment.
A 40-year-old woman, from Liverpool, was arrested on suspicion of owning a dog dangerously out of control causing injury to others. Officers have confirmed the woman who was arrested has been released on bail.
