Authorities in Penn Hills, Pennsylvania, are investigating a tragic shooting incident that occurred at the Ballers Hookah Lounge and Cigar Bar in the early hours of Sunday morning. The Allegheny County Police Department's homicide unit was called in to assist the local Penn Hills Police Department following reports of gunfire at the establishment.
Upon arrival at the scene, first responders discovered the bodies of an adult male and an adult female inside the bar. In addition to the two fatalities, seven other individuals were found to have sustained injuries as a result of the shooting. Some of the injured victims were transported to nearby hospitals, while others made their way to medical facilities on their own.
According to a statement released by the Allegheny County police on social media, one of the victims is currently in critical condition, while the remaining individuals suffered injuries that were described as non-life-threatening.
Initial investigations suggest that an altercation broke out within the bar, leading to multiple individuals discharging firearms. The statement did not confirm whether any suspects had been taken into custody in connection with the incident.
