Two Children Dead, Two Critically Injured After Youth Sailing Boat Hits Barge In Miami Beach — Who's To Blame?

A summer day on Biscayne Bay turned tragic on Monday, 28 July, when a youth sailing camp boat collided with a construction barge near Hibiscus Island, killing two children and leaving two others critically injured.

The incident involved a small sailboat carrying five young girls and a teenage counsellor, all part of a summer program organised by the Miami Youth Sailing Foundation, in affiliation with the Miami Yacht Club.
