Two children and two adults taken to hospital following Borders car crash

TWO CHILDREN and two adults have been taken to hospital after a crash in the Scottish Borders.

Emergency services were called to an incident on the A699 near Bowden at around 2.40pm on Sunday to reports of a collision.

One woman, aged 35, was taken to Borders General Hospital for treatment while a 36-year-old man and two children, aged eight and 14, were taken as a precaution.

A police spokesperson confirmed that one man, aged 20, would be reported to the Procurator Fiscal for a road traffic offence.

They said: “Around 2.40pm on Sunday, August 25, we were called to a report of a two-car crash on the A699 near Bowden.

“Emergency services attended and one woman, aged 35, was taken to Borders General Hospital for treatment, a man, aged 36 and two children, aged eight and 14, were taken as a precaution.

“Recovery has been arranged. One man, aged 20, will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal for a road traffic offence.”
