Two candidates file to appear on Maine’s Democratic presidential primary ballot

The filing deadline for Maine’s Democratic presidential primary passed on Dec. 1, 2023. Two candidates qualified for the March 5, 2024, ballot. In order to file, candidates had to submit a petition with 2,000 signatures. 

The following candidates qualified:

  • President Joe Biden
  • U.S. Rep. Dean Phillips
