Two men have been arrested after a man was left in a critical condition following an assault in Kensington.
The man, who is in his 70s, was found with head injuries in a property in Molyneux Road, Kensington, in the afternoon of Monday (June 26). He was taken to hospital where he is currently in a critical condition.
Merseyside Police detectives are carrying out a number of lines of enquiry as they seek to establish where and when his injuries occurred. There are currently cordons in place to allow for investigative work to be carried out.

A 39-year-old man and a 48-year-old man have both been arrested on suspicion of s18 wounding with intent. They are currently in custody where they will be questioned by officers.
House-to-house, CCTV and witness enquiries are being carried out in the local area. On Monday evening, cordons remained in place around the junction between Molyneux Road and Farnworth Street.
Detective Inspector Dave Sung said: “We are carrying out enquiries to establish when and how the man came to be injured. I would ask anyone who can assist with our investigation to contact us as a matter of urgency.”
