Two men have been arrested after a Dublin store was robbed at knifepoint.
The terrifying incident happened at around 8am this morning when two men armed with knives entered a shop on Tyconnell Road in Inchicore. The men demanded cash from the staff.
Gardai, who were on patrol in the area, were alerted to the incident and stopped the men as they attempted to flee the premises with the cash and other stolen items. A garda spokeswoman said: "Both men (aged in their 30s and 60s) were arrested at the scene and taken to Kevin Street Garda Station where they are currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
