A 17-year-old boy was stabbed in south Bristol this evening (August 23). Police have confirmed that two people have since been arrested in connection with the incident.
The incident took place at around 7pm on Marksbury Road in Bedminster, with armed officers called to the scene. A police helicopter was also deployed to search for the offenders.
The victim was taken to hospital but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. Investigating officers from Avon and Somerset Police are now urging anyone with information to come forward and help their inquiries.

Avon and Somerset Police said in a statement: "We’re investigating after a 17-year-old boy was stabbed in south Bristol this evening. The incident happened at around 7pm on Marksbury Road.
"Armed officers were deployed to the scene due to the nature of the incident. The police helicopter was also asked to assist with the search for the offenders.
"Two people have since been arrested from a property also in South Bristol in connection with the incident and they are currently in police custody. The victim is currently in hospital receiving treatment for injuries which aren’t believed to be life-threatening.
"Anyone who witnessed the incident or has information which could help our inquiry is asked to call 101 and provide the call handler with the reference 5222203576."
