The phrase “a win is a win” has become the theme of the Tennessee Titans the past two weeks, as they once again escaped with a victory in Week 4 despite getting nothing from the offense in the second half.
Tennessee came out on fire, scoring 24 points in the first half and staking itself to a 24-10 halftime lead over the Indianapolis Colts.
However, just as it did in the previous two games, the Titans’ offense didn’t score a single point in the second half and looked lost overall, allowing the Colts a chance to catch up.
However, the Colts squandered that opportunity with a pair of key turnovers in the final two quarters. Tennessee’s defense certainly wasn’t perfect but did enough to make the early lead stand up.
As you’d expect, there were a whole range of emotions coming from Titans Twitter as they watched their team barely hang on once again. Let’s see Twitter’s reaction.
#Titans coaching staff needs to be held accountable. From the top, all the way down.
Consistently laying an egg in the third quarter/second half means you're getting out-adjusted and out-coached. Unacceptable.

Todd Downing ignoring all the criticism as he cooks something up for Chig Okonkwo on a crucial 3rd and short 😂#Titans

Todd Shrugs in the second half. #Titans pic.twitter.com/4ywMamTq8t

@TicTacTitans I think Downing should just script the entire game and make zero adjustments because the second half can’t be much worse. A win is a win though #Titans #titanup

NEWS FLASH: You are allowed to be happy the #Titans won, and disgusted by HOW they won
This is the big picture part of the season
Not a playoff game

Good job by #Titans getting a win in Indianapolis and getting to 2-2. So many issues with this team still. Have to figure out how to play a second half. Jaguars, not Colts, could prove to be the real divisional issue.

Honestly what happens in the #Titans locker room at half?
— Kayla Anderson (@KaylaAndersonTV) October 2, 2022
The #Titans being atrocious in the 2nd half is an indictment on Mike Vrabel & staff for his team to have this trait.

Someone called into the @BuckReising show the other day & said the #Titans shouldn’t go into the locker room at half … i’m starting to agree with that man

After a rough 0-2 start, the #Titans are now in first place (sort of) in the AFC South with a win over the Colts! And this video is relevant again https://t.co/B8GYBHGOmZ

That whole Burks injury situation was just a disaster. I am mad at like 15 people and I can't even describe the anger I have towards the #Titans staff.

Watching my #Titans knowing they it’s always the tale of 2 half’s… #LFG pic.twitter.com/glITGA4Uo0

#Titans get lucky two weeks in a row. Do enough in the first half to win games against a poorly coached Raiders team and a poorly quarterbacked Colts team
This entire division is a sack of crap and should have their mandatory playoff spot for division winner taken away
