Michigan State and Washington’s week three contest was one of the most anticipated games on the Spartans schedule heading into the 2023 season. That feeling has changed for some Spartan fans.
It has been released that the two teams are going to square off at 5 p.m. EST exclusively on NBC’s streaming platform, Peacock, much to many fans dismay.

Move a game to Ford Field to help NBC/Big Ten? Fine. Great, actually.
Kick off a top three game of the season on Peacock? Alright, there's no spin-zoning out of that one. That's incredibly upsetting.

The TV/streaming dynamic will only get much worse.
When ESPN scraps its TV channels and exclusively streams all content via ESPN+ (& quadruples prices) in a few years, that will effectively kill TV.
You’ll have to buy every network’s streaming service to watch a full CFB slate. https://t.co/owv8Ru5RaG

Hot, iffy take: Pushing Peacock on people is risky. It's where much the Premier League action is. Careful where you send your audience. With 12:30 Premier League games on Saturdays (even if on USA Network), I don't watch noon college football games anymore unless MSU is playing. https://t.co/sCuvrVGX0R

Folks aren't going to be happy with the game on Peacock. But when we collectively cut the cord, pretending cable wasn't always best, this was set in motion. We pay more for games. A generation from now, cutting edge folks will come up with an idea to bundle all of this. https://t.co/QdTHdXiA51

You guys were going to have to sign up for Peacock soon anyway. They're putting up to 47 Big Ten men's hoops games on it this season.
