UFC star Jorge Masvidal was jailed on Wednesday evening, and the MMA community shared their thoughts.
Masvidal was taken into custody by Miami-Dade county police following his alleged physical altercation with bitter rival Colby Covington outside of a restaurant on Monday evening. The UFC welterweight faces one count of aggravated battery resulting in great bodily harm and one count of criminal mischief and was released on $15,000 bond.
Masvidal (35-16 MMA, 12-9 UFC) allegedly landed two punches on Covington (17-3 MMA, 12-3 UFC), resulting in damage to his right hand that appeared to have been stitched when photographed by police. “You shouldn’t have been talking about my kids,” Masvidal allegedly said during the incident, according to police reports.
Among the voices of reason on social media were UFC star Nate Diaz, and more. See below what the MMA community had to say about Masvidal’s arrest.
