Lexi McDavid's devastated twin sister gave an emotional tribute to her sibling at a touching vigil celebrating her life.
Schoolchildren were joined by parents and grandparents in Huyton Village as people mourned Lexi McDavid, 12, who died after being hit by a white Mercedes van as she got off a bus on Princess Drive in Huyton on Tuesday, June 7.
Her family were among those that gave speeches, including her 12-year-old twin sister. She spoke of life at home with Lexi before telling the crowd she will "never forget" and will "always miss" her sister.

Her twin sister Lois said: "When somebody told us to go to bed and we would be standing at our doorways sending each other messages or FaceTiming, and our pamper nights I will really miss, that and a lot more. Our little Jammy Dodger.
"I will love her no matter what, if we are together or apart. Lexi is that gift I never asked for but always wanted. She was and is my world, we will never forget you and we will always miss our little Lexi."
The vigil started with a touching minutes applause for Lexi. Speakers played out Dancing in the Sky by Dani and Lizzy and live performers sang some of her favourite songs.
Donation buckets were provided at the event and two donation pages are online from both the mum and dad's side of the family. Lexi was described as "gorgeous" and "a princess" by family members after her tragic death.
Family member Susie Murphy said: "Lexi was a gorgeous twin with her whole life ahead of her. Her family are all heartbroken as you can imagine."
Gerard Peston headteacher of Broughton Hall Catholic High School, where Lexi was a pupil. He said: "Lexi was a much-loved pupil at Broughton Hall, by staff and her peers. She was a bright, articulate, funny and intelligent pupil.
"She represented the year group at numerous whole school celebrations, where she was known for her beautiful speaking voice. We offer our heartfelt condolences, thoughts and prayers to her family, friends and our school community. Lexi will be greatly missed at Broughton Hall.”
