Succession
9pm, Sky Atlantic
Knowing that the saga of the Roy family will finally be resolved has helped this final season: with the stakes raised again, every backstab and comeback was carrying extra weight even before the stunning events of last week’s pivotal episode. Murderville
10.15pm, BBC Three
This committed but not entirely convincing US remake of Tom Davis’s massively superior crime spoof Murder in Successville gets a BBC airing. For this first series, Will Arnett’s gnarled senior detective Terry Seattle is joined by Conan O’Brien to investigate the murder of a magician’s assistant. It’s fun in places but never quite nails the right comic tone. PH
