Until I Kill You

Sunday, 9pm, ITV1

Anna Maxwell Martin is at her most compelling in this four-part true-crime drama by Nick Stevens (In Plain Sight, The Pembrokeshire Murders). It tells the story of Delia Balmer, a nurse and a slightly spiky loner. When she ends her relationship with John Sweeney (Shaun Evans) – during which he nearly strangled her – he admits to killing his ex, then ties Delia to a bed for four days before attacking her with an axe. The real Delia, who also wrote a book about her experience, has worked on the script with Stevens, who says he wanted to explore what happens when “someone who is not an easy victim finds themselves in [the UK’s] legal system”. An intriguing watch. Hollie Richardson

Asia

6.20pm, BBC One

David Attenborough is still at it, and this time he’s narrating a gorgeous new seven-part series about Asia’s natural world. It starts “beneath the waves” in the waters that are home to 60% of all marine species – including tree-climbing fish, a teenage sperm whale and glow-in-the-dark squid. HR

Showtrial

9pm, BBC One

Justin (Michael Socha) finally takes the stand in his murder trial – and he’s not the only one clinging on for life. Sam (Adeel Akhtar) has got a new prescription for suicidal ideation and Felix is burning bridges. But is “mental health” any defence for killing a person and, arguably, the planet? The jury’s still out. Ellen E Jones

Mortimer & Whitehouse: Gone Fishing

9pm, BBC Two

More soul-nourishing tales from the riverbank as Bob, Paul and Ted the terrier try to hook a ruddy big rudd from a lake near Epping Forest. With a chill in the air and tetchy geese on the water, it could be a long wait. But if Paul is considering offering up a prayer for a bite, Bob has booked the perfect overnight digs. Graeme Virtue

Generation Z

9pm, Channel 4

The darkly comic zombie horror continues with nose-biting pensioner Cecily (the fabulous Sue Johnston) performing backflips to lure new recruits to her monstrous ways. While the care home is raging, Finn has a run-in with the authorities and Kelly’s having family issues. All that, and the threat of being eaten at any time. Hannah Verdier

Dwarf Story: Life Without Little People

10.15pm, ITV1

A complex documentary following three people who have trialled a new drug that treats the most common cause of dwarfism – achondroplasia. But should dwarfism even be considered something that needs to be “cured”? We hear their experiences. HR

Film choice

Sasquatch Sunset, 10.10am, 10pm, Sky Cinema Premiere

This peculiar tale is reminiscent of those old Disney nature films that followed an animal over a year while anthropomorphising it wildly. But in Nathan and David Zellner’s version, the subject is Bigfoot. In the remote forests of North America, a hairy, grunting sasquatch family (two of whom are, inexplicably, played by Riley Keough and Jesse Eisenberg) eat leaves, have sex, sniff skunks and make fruitless attempts to locate more of their own species. It’s often funny but there is an unexpected pathos to their fragile lives. Simon Wardell
