Alice & Jack

9pm, Channel 4

There’s a lot of weighty talent behind this slow-burning romantic drama: it was created by former Mad Men producer and writer Victor Levin and stars Oscar-nominated Andrea Riseborough and Golden Globe nominee Domhnall Gleeson. They play Alice and Jack, who meet on a dating app and feel an instant connection. But that doesn’t mean it’s plain sailing. Alice is clearly struggling with something privately and tells Jack not to contact her again. He gets a shock, then, when Alice calls him 18 months later and his wife (Aisling Bea) passes him the phone while holding their newborn in her other arm. Should Jack be with Alice? It’s explored with nuance, warmth and laughs. Hollie Richardson

Bring the Drama

9pm, BBC Two

Bill Bailey hosts this six-part competition, a sort of Bake Off or Sewing Bee of the acting world. Eight amateur actors, who never had the opportunity to train, take part in weekly tasks – starting with an audition for EastEnders. They are a likable bunch, with Janice, who is “56 years young”, retired police officer George, who has only cried twice in his life, and young Chris, who is deaf. It’s almost cruel that only three of them will win the opportunity to get an agent. HR

Kirstie and Phil’s Love It or List It

8pm, Channel 4

We’re in sunny Stockport where, after 14 years of fostering more than 30 children, Jacqueline and Renee are undecided over whether to put their six-bedroom home on the market. Kirstie’s £50,000 “Love It” budget could do much to improve the poor flow between rooms downstairs, but Phil’s selection of spectacular new houses may be too tempting to resist. Ellen E Jones

After the Flood

9pm, ITV1

This diverting crime drama began with a devastating flood tearing through a northern English town. As the final episode kicks off, the water levels are rising again just as pregnant sleuth Jo (Sophie Rundle) has broken the murder and corruption case wide open. But with a key suspect on the loose with a shotgun, how is it all going to wash out? Graeme Virtue

Too Good to Be True

9pm, Channel 5

Single mum Rachel (Kara Tointon) is working all hours as a cleaner to support her son. When a minted client requests her exclusive services at his spotless manor she warily accepts the offer. But when will she actually meet him? Tointon’s stressed but sparky performance grounds this escalating four-part thriller that continues on Thursday. GV

Domino Day

9pm, BBC Three

The plot thickens for Manchester’s answer to Buffy, when Domino meets up with her moody wrong ’un of an ex and reminisces about spells and nakedness. Meanwhile, the coven debate how to deal with the new member. And there’s more drama after the vampire heroine gets caught short desperate for a feed in a back alley. Hannah Verdier
