The Coronation Concert, 8 pm, BBC One
There is still lots to celebrate, with stars from the worlds of pop, rock, opera and musical theatre coming together for one big gig – held in the grounds of Windsor Castle – to mark the coronation. Downton Abbey’s Hugh Bonneville introduces acts including Take That, Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, Freya Ridings and Andrea Bocelli, and there will be special performances, too, from the Royal Shakespeare Company, and a 300-strong Coronation Choir.
It’s all topped off with the epic finale Lighting Up the Nation, illuminating the four corners of the UK with lasers, projections and drones.

Malpractice, 9 pm, ITV1
The tension is really ratcheting up now in the fast-paced thriller as Lucinda (Niamh Algar) and her fellow medics find themselves under excruciating pressure at the inquest into the death of Edith Owusu. While they’ve been advised to stick to the hospital line and reiterate that nobody was to blame, Edith’s grieving father, former barrister Sir Anthony Owusu (Brian Bovell), is acting as the family’s legal representative and is determined that someone should pay.
As Ramya (Priyanka Patel) and Lucinda are each subjected to an uncomfortable grilling, what will the verdict be? Meanwhile, Lucinda’s own increasingly reckless investigation into what has gone on gathers pace…

Antiques Roadshow: Coronation Special
Chockful of oddities, this special commemorative show delves back into the archive and comes up with a haul of royal-related memorabilia, including a piece of royal cake in a special tin from the 1840s and a toilet seat once graced by the posterior of Queen Victoria. Coming back up to date, there are tips on how to build a collection of royal souvenirs and a look inside Westminster Abbey in the run-up to the big day.

One More Audience with Dame Edna, 9 pm, ITV3
Barry Humphries – who died at the end of last month, aged 89 – was an absolute master of the An Audience with… format. His creation, Dame Edna, holds the record, appearing on the show three times. This tribute to the ‘world megastar, doctor, the dame Edna Everage’ (as she’s introduced) was Barry’s final crack at it in 1988. Edna is on top form – funny, scathing, affectionate and rude – and there’s a special poignancy in seeing so many fellow stars who are now also no longer with us.

Best box set on TV tonight
The family-friendly fantasy is back for a second series this week, with half-human hybrid Gus and his friends having to gather their strength to figure out what caused the Great Crumble, the chaotic era when 98% of the world’s population was killed off by a virus.
But as Gus begins a dark journey to find a cure for a new wave of the Sick, he also learns more about his own origins, as well as his mother Birdie’s role in the events leading up to the collapse of society. Christian Convery (recently seen in Cocaine Bear) returns as Gus, alongside Nonso Anozie and Adeel Akhtar. James Brolin acts as the narrator.

Best film on TV tonight
The Jungle Book, 2:05 pm, BBC One
You will never believe that this live-action version of Rudyard Kipling’s stories was filmed entirely inside a studio. The CGI is simply breathtaking, with only young Mowgli (played nicely by Neel Sethi) the only non-virtual entity – every other creature, piece of fauna and location comes straight out of a computer.
It’s darker than Disney’s classic 1967 cartoon, with monstrous tiger Shere Khan (voiced by Idris Elba) out to kill the man-cub brought up by wolves. But Mowgli finds help in the shape of laconic bear Baloo (Bill Murray). One of the best scenes is the showdown with King Louie the ape (Christopher Walken), nearer the size of King Kong than a regular orangutan. It’s a big, beautiful blast of a film.
