Ten Pound Poms, 9 pm, BBC One/iPlayer (box set)
After starting a fight at his new job, going on a bender and then becoming embroiled in a drink-fuelled night-time hit-and-run, Englishman Terry Roberts (Warren Brown) had a pretty eventful start to life in Australia last week. However, tonight, he’s determined to make amends by finding the Aboriginal child he and work pal Dean struck with their truck. We didn’t warm to Dean when we first met him and we like him even less after this week’s hate-filled tirade about Australia’s native population at his barbecue, which comes as a powerful jolt of shade among all the family light.

Depp v Heard, 9 pm, Channel 4/Channel 4 (box set)
It was one of the most gossiped-about court cases this century and the first in US history to be fully broadcast live, with A-listers Johnny Depp and Amber Heard caught up in a multimillion-dollar defamation battle that heard accusations of adultery, substance abuse and domestic violence. This three-parter recounts how the pair met while filming The Rum Diary in 2011 and continues with shocking allegations heard during the hearing up until the jury’s final verdict. Continues until Tuesday.

Malpractice, 9 pm, ITV1/ITVX (box set)
Niamh Algar has been sensational as stressed-out medic Lucinda and she pulls out all the stops in this super-fraught finale. Tortured by her collapsing home life and her suspension from work, desperate Lucinda gives investigators Norma (Helen Behan) and George (Jordan Kouamé) some enticing potential evidence about the drug ring – but will they listen? As she also tries to learn more about the source of the medication, get ready for some devastating shocks… With its timely look at the harsh reality of life in the NHS, plus some stunning twists, we’ve loved this classy thriller and are keeping our fingers crossed for a second series.

Sorry for Your Loss, ITVX
Elizabeth Olsen cemented her reputation as a seriously talented actor in this smart drama about the unexpected effects of grief, first shown on Facebook Watch. It’s one of many US dramas that have been added to ITVX recently. She plays widow Leigh, who moves back in with her sparky mother Amy (a wonderful Janet McTeer) after the death of her husband Matt (Mamoudou Athie). As the two series progress, she attempts to deal with her difficult relationship with her sister, a growing attraction to her brother-in-law and the realisation that she didn’t know her partner at all.

Supernova, 10 pm, BBC Two (not NI)/iPlayer
‘You’re not supposed to mourn someone when they are still alive,’ sighs US expat Tusker (Stanley Tucci), a writer and astronomer facing up to how having early onset dementia will impact his relationship with his pianist partner Sam (Colin Firth). Sam’s answer is to whisk his other half off on a camper van tour of the Lake District, which lets them see family, friends and some beloved old haunts for what is likely to be the final time – but Tusker has his own route planned. Writer-director Harry Macqueen’s drama is quietly devastating, but it’s a pleasure to be along for such an intimate and poignant ride.
