TV star Dr Ranj robbed following BRIT Awards hours after flashing watch on social media

Television star Doctor Ranj Singh has told that he was robbed in Soho, London, last night after attending the BRIT Awards at London's 02 Arena.

This Morning medic Dr Ranj, 42, shared the scary ordeal on Instagram on Wednesday night and explained that his watch was stolen but was thankful that he "wasn't hurt at all."

"I had the BEST night last night. Sadly, on my way home from Soho when I was walking to get a taxi, I was approached by a man who robbed me," the telly favourite shared in a message uploaded on social media.

"It all happened so quickly and luckily I wasn't hurt at all (the git stole my watch though), but it could've been so much worse."

He continued: "I foolishly chased after him, but he got away. I now know that's not a good idea as sometimes these people will lead you into a trap.

"I wasn't going to say anything because I felt stupid and a little bit embarrassed, but after speaking to some friends I thought it might just serve as a reminder: please be careful when coming home at night, even in spaces you think are safe."

Ranj finished the message: "Look out for each other peeps x."

Several of Ranj's celeb pals took to the comments to send him messages.

Comedia Joe Lycett wrote: "Very sorry to hear this xxx."

Loose Women's Judi Love added: "Omgg hun hope your okay xx."

Personal trainer Alice Liveing joined in: "Oh Ranj I’m so so sorry. Really hope you’re ok. Take care."

The ordeal came hours after he took to social media to flash his Clogau watch to his fans.

In a gallery of snaps, the Get Well Soon star posed up a storm in his home as he showed off his suited and booted look ahead of attending the prestigious BRIT ceremony.

One photo showed him lifting his wrist to the camera to showcase his watch - which retails between £400-500.

A second snap was just of the silver-framed timepiece.
