West Pizza has swung open the doors of its permanent flagship restaurant in which its famous New York-style pizzas will be served by the slice or whole - a whopping 18 inches.
Run by Ieuan Harry and Jez Phillips, otherwise known as BBC's the Pizza Boys - whose second series has recently aired, read more on that here - they are the brains and chefs behind Cardiff Market's Ffwrnes Pizza stall. West Pizza opened on Tuesday, March 21, and after popping up in games bar Kongs, serving pizzas by the slice, the full scale restaurant and cafe can now be found in Canton's brand new Laundry Quarter just off Romilly Crescent in Pontcanna, which also houses Alex Gooch Bakery among other retailers.
And its not just pizza the pair will be serving up - they will also be offering sandwiches made fresh with focaccia bread, coffee from a neighbouring coffee business in Canton, Hardlines (which also has a location in Cardiff Market), in-house baked goods, local beers and wine. It will be open 9am until 9pm Tuesdays through to Saturdays and from noon to 8pm on Sundays.
