The TV presenter Neena Pacholke has died seven weeks before she was due to get married. The 27-year-old took her own life, and was discovered after a friend had asked the police to do a welfare check on her.
The US news anchor had recently moved into a new home in Wasau, Wisconsin, with her fiancé, Kyle Haase, who she had been with for two years, the Mirror reports.
The police confirmed her death in a press release which read: "After receiving no answer at the door, officers entered the home and found Pacholke deceased. The Wausau Police and Marathon County Medical Examiner's Office have confirmed that 27-year-old Neena Pacholke died as a result of suicide."
Neena and Kyle were due to tie the knot in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico, on October 12 this year. They had met two years ago at a funeral. After Kyle proposed on May 9 this year, they had planned on having a big family wedding in their hometown next summer, but decided to bring the date forward.
Speaking about Neena's death, a friend said that the newscaster always had a "great smile on her face". "But for her to commit suicide there must have been some life-altering moment in her mind to take her own life," they said, according to DailyMail.com.

Meanwhile, Neena's mother, Laurie Pacholke, told WAOW-9: "She was getting treatment. I'll put it out there – she had been to the crisis centre a couple of times. She had so many people here to talk to. She talked to people, but she didn't want anybody to know how she was hurting so she didn't talk until it got so bad."
According to Neena's parents, she had suffered from various mental health issues for a number of years. A local church in Wasau will hold a celebration of her life, for friends and family to attend.
If you're struggling and need to talk, the Samaritans operate a free helpline open 24/7 on 116 123. Alternatively, you can email jo@samaritans.org or visit their site to find your local branch.
