TV chef Rachel Allen has said she's been surprised by the "kindness of strangers" who have reached out to her after her eldest son Joshua was jailed for drug offences.
The cookbook author, 50 - who has regularly appeared on BBC's Saturday Kitchen and had shows on RTÉ in her native Ireland - discussed the challenging experience recently.
She has said that being in the public eye while the eldest of her three children went through such a difficult time had been challenging.
Rachel - who's a judge alongside Marco Pierre White, 60, on cooking competition series The Restaurant - however shared that people have been very supportive.
She told the Irish Sunday Mirror: "The amount of people who have written to me, I cannot tell you. The kindness from strangers... people say I've never met you, but I'm sending you this card, I'm sending you this email."
She further commented about such a response: "I mean sending me miraculous medals. I'm not Catholic but I treasure every single one of them."

Rachel has two other children with her husband Isaac Allen. Alongside Joshua, the couple are parents to racing driver Lucca, 20, as well as youngest child Scarlett, 13.
Asked if she ever stops worrying about her children, the mother-of-three said: "No. Lucca's in LMP3. It's racing, and racing very fast but he's very into it, very focused."
The chef - who has released numerous cookbooks over the course of her career so far - added: "I worry about him constantly, I worry about them all constantly."
Rachel - whose mother-in-law is fellow chef Darina Allen, 74 - has appeared on numerous TV shows as part of her career, including ITV's Lorraine and Loose Women.
The award-winning chef has even had her own shows on RTÉ - national broadcaster of Ireland - including Rachel Allen: All Things Sweet and Rachel Allen's Everyday Kitchen.
