A TUV candidate in last year's Stormont Assembly election has become a DUP councillor.
Jordan Doran, who stood for election in May in West Belfast, has been co-opted to the city council to replace the DUP's Dale Pankhurst.
The Ballysillan man said it was "an honour" to be selected to represent Oldpark as a DUP councillor.

He said he wanted to see "stronger and more cohesive unionism" and the DUP "is the only party which can achieve this".
Mr Pankhurst announced last month he was stepping down from the council to spend more time with his family.
DUP leader Sir Jeffrey Donaldson said Mr Doran would "provide enthusiastic and dedicated representation" for the Oldpark area.
"He represents one of many unionists who are uniting behind the DUP banner as the strongest and most effective voice to promote and strengthen Northern Ireland's place within the United Kingdom," he added.
Mr Doran resigned from TUV in October, telling the party he was focusing on university and would be moving to England.
In a resignation email seen by Belfast Live, he described TUV leader Jim Allister as a "political hero of mine" who "speaks on behalf of unionism".
Mr Doran also thanked TUV's party secretary and North Belfast representative Ron McDowell, saying he was "someone I look forward to voting for in the future".
He added: "As the party continues to go from strength to strength I am encouraged, and it is with great faith the Traditional Unionist Voice will make significant gains in future elections."
When he was announced as a TUV candidate for last year's Stormont election, Mr Doran said he was "horrified by the continued pandering to Sinn Fein by our unionist politicians".
The Orangeman said TUV was the "only unionist party prepared to guarantee that we will not provide a stooge deputy to a Sinn Fein First Minister".
