Andhra Pradesh: Tussle over sand halts Polavaram project work

Polavaram YS Jagan Mohan Reddy Amaravati Godavari

AMARAVATI: Shortly after chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy told the assembly on Tuesday that the Polavaram project would be completed by June 2023, sand shortage forced the works to stop at the project site.

The incident happened when sand trucks belonging to Polavaram project contractor Megha Engineering and Infrastructure Ltd (Meil) were stopped from entering the project area by JP power ventures ltd (JVPL).
