Turkey travel warning to Edinburgh holidaymakers as Foreign Office issues update

Families jetting off to Turkey during the school holidays have been issued new travel warnings.

Officials at the UK Government have updated their guidance on safety and security risks. They advise against travel to some parts of the country and all but essential travel to other areas, reports Birmingham Live.

Some 1.6 million holidaymakers from Britain head to Turkey each year with travellers advised to keep abreast of latest guidance. The UK's Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) confirmed its advice had been updated on June 28.
