TUI passengers 'in floods of tears' as flight abandons Manchester Airport landing

A TUI flight was forced to abandon its landing at Manchester Airport due to a snowstorm.

Terrified passengers were said to be in "floods of tears" as a "trainee pilot" was forced to divert the jet, which was due to arrive at around 8pm on Thursday, to East Midlands instead due to the extreme weather conditions.

Holidaymakers on board the flight were said to be "screaming and crying" as "awful" turbulence hit the aircraft due to Storm Larissa. One passenger admitted to Manchester Evening News that he was "saying his prayers".
