Airline passengers had to make an early landing due to severe winds during the flight, with the airline now offering the occupants counselling following the nightmare flight. A TUI flight from Tenerife was due to land at Manchester Airport, but the pilot had to divert to East Midlands Airport due to extreme weather conditions.
The plane was being rocked side to side in Storm Larissa, with many passengers fearing they would not see their families again. Following the incident, TUI has offered support for those involved in the landing reports The Daily Mirror.
In an email, the company said: “We would like to assure customers that instances of this nature are rare. TUI has offered all those on the plane counselling.”
