A TUI flight to Manchester Airport was met by emergency services on the runway on Monday night (November 21) after it was forced to abort its initial landing due to a 'minor technical issue'.
The flight, travelling to Manchester from Lanzarote, had to perform a go around after its initial descent to the runway following the fault. The flight path from Radarbox shows that the aircraft continued heading north after its attempted landing at the airport, before turning.
It headed over Warrington and over parts of Cheshire before successfully landing on the second attempt. Emergency services met the aircraft after its landing on the runway as part of the standard procedure.

TUI has since confirmed that the plane landed successfully on the second attempt as a 'minor technical issue' had preventing the first landing. All customers and crew made it off the aircraft safely.
A spokesperson for TUI said: "Flight BY2147 landed safely in Manchester last night on the second attempt after a minor technical issue prevented the initial landing.
"All customers and crew were safely disembarked and as per standard procedure in these instances, the aircraft was met by emergency services.
"The safety of our passengers and crew is always our number one priority and we thank them for their patience and understanding.
