Tui has extended the time period in which it is cancelling holidays to Sri Lanka. The firm had already axed flights until the end of May and has now extended that to June 12.
The Government has advised against all but essential travel to Sri Lanka, reports the Express. A TUI spokesperson said: “Due to the ongoing political and economic instability in Sri Lanka, the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) have advised against all but essential travel.
“As a result, we’ve unfortunately had to cancel all holidays to Sri Lanka departing up to and including June 12 2022. We will be proactively contacting all impacted customers in departure date order to discuss their options.
