The victim of an alleged stabbing at a shopping centre in Cumbernauld has been named as James 'Chucky' Ross.

The 27-year-old was named locally after the fatal incident at Abronhill Shopping Centre on Monday afternoon.

Emergency services were called to Larch Court in the town at 4.40pm to reports of an injured man.

James could not be saved and died a short time later at a property on the street.

A 15-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries remain ongoing.

American tourist's hilarious Arthur's Seat climb goes viral on TikTok

An American woman has gone viral on Tiktok after sharing her experience of trying to hike up Arthur's Seat in Edinburgh .

Devrie Brynn left more than 4.5 million viewers in stitches as she took on the famous hill on a trip to Scotland.

Slightly red in the face from the struggle, the American tourist joked about being asked by locals if she was okay while trying to make it to the top.

She joked about being asked by concerned Scots if she's okay while struggling to scramble to the top.

Mocking the accent, Devrie explains that hiking in Edinburgh is definitely not for her.

Prince Andrew and Virginia Giuffre reach settlement over US civil sex claim

The Duke of York and his accuser Virginia Giuffre have reached an out-of-court settlement in the civil sex claim filed in the US.

In a letter submitted to the United States District Court on Tuesday, Ms Giuffre's lawyer David Boies wrote jointly with Andrew's lawyers to say that the parties had "reached a settlement in principle".

Court documents show the Duke will make a "substantial donation to Ms Giuffre's charity in support of victims' rights".

Devastated pals of a young mum are set to gather in her memory after she died just days before her 24th birthday.

Dozens of heartfelt tributes have poured in for Carla Maria Black after she suddenly passed away at the weekend.

The 23-year-old has been hailed “daughter” who did “everything she could to see everyone right in her life”.

Scots cocaine smuggling gang who brought £10m of drugs in 'Belgian waffle' trucks jailed

Four members of a serious organised crime group were jailed for a total of 22 years on Tuesday after police seized a haul of high purity cocaine worth up to £10 million on the streets during a raid at the premises of a kitchen firm.

James Davidson, David Mullarkey, Ellis Hardy and Wayne Smith were caught with the Class A drugs during the raid by detectives at the Hillingdon Industrial estate in Renfrewshire.

The drugs were smuggled in an HGV lorry supposedly transporting Belgian waffles and were to be transferred to a modified van for onward transportation when they were intercepted .
