Tucker Carlson frequently used misogynistic slurs against his female colleagues before his shock Fox News departure, according to reports.
The 53-year-old conservative commentator left Fox News last month after more than a decade working for the network.
Following his departure, a series of text messages allegedly sent by Tucker have been released which show him using sexist language against Fox staff.
In one message, he slammed Maria Bartiromo's interview of former Trump attorney Sidney Powell in which she claimed Tucker was "insulting, demanding and rude".
Tucker allegedly sent a text to Fox's chief political correspondent Bret Baier, asking: "Does she attack me?"
Bret replied: "Says you were rude and that's why she didn't respond. Ha."
In the messages, which were obtained by The Daily Beast, Tucker hit back: "C**t. I mean it."
Another text shows Tucker previously referring to Sidney as "that c**t" and a "f***ing b***h".
The comments come after rising star Lawrence Jones was named as Tucker's temporary replacement on Fox News.
The 30-year-old presenter took over from the controversial host on Monday as the Tucker Carlson Show was rebranded as Fox News Tonight.
Lawrence's appointment comes after Brian Kilmeade's weeklong stint in the hot seat.
The role sees Lawrence vacate his weekend primetime show "Lawrence Jones Cross Country", which he first took up in January 2022.
At the time, he became the youngest black solo host of a cable news show in history.
As well as his own weekend slot, Lawrence has regularly been a roving reporter Fox & Friends and travelled the width of the country covering some of the biggest news stories.
Lawrence admitted he appreciates the opportunity to take on the show but revealed he "is no TC".
Taking to Twitter after the news broke, the presenter said: "Grateful for this opportunity family. I’m no TC.. he carved his own lane & earned your trust. I can only be the LJ you’ve allowed to grow the last 9 years on Fox."
