Tube fares hammerblow: Zone 1 journeys rise by up to 7.1%, with £1.60 extra on Elizabeth line to Heathrow

The cost of a single Tube journey in zone 1 in central London is to increase by up to 7.1 per cent - about double the current rate of inflation.

Zone 1 peak fares will increase by 6.9 per cent, from £2.90 to £3.10, while off-peak fares - including those made at the weekend - will increase by 7.1 per cent, from £2.80 to £3.
