Tua Tagovailoa jokingly explained how he regretted abandoning LT Terron Armstead on the side of the road

Tua Tagovailoa’s Miami Dolphins have been riding high all week after escaping with Los Angeles with a thrilling Week 1 win. After throwing for 466 yards, Tagovailoa himself shrugged off any remaining haters very succinctly.

On Thursday, with the Dolphins preparing for an important road divisional game against the New England Patriots, Tagovailoa continued showing off his personality. He told gathered reporters about how he jokingly regretted not helping Miami starting left tackle Terron Armstead, whose car was apparently broken down on the side of the road. The story is pure gold.

In moments like this, it’s great to see Tagovailoa’s evident charisma in front of a microphone.

Who among us, right? As he explained, I’m sure if Tagovailoa recognized it was Armstead working on his car in advance, he would’ve pulled over and helped right away. But when you’re driving fast down the road and see a random person off to the side, most of us probably won’t be a Good Samaritan to the point where you completely reverse backward. I find it hard to believe Armstead — who is tasked with protecting Tagovailoa’s blind side every Sunday — would’ve done anything differently!

Kudos to Tagovailoa for jokingly calling himself out and being honest. It made for one heck of a story to tell later.

This was how Twitter reacted to Tagovailoa's side-of-the-road story
