Trump's secret flight isn't the first: How Bill Clinton used a decoy plane to secretly enter Pakistan in 2000

US President Donald Trump’s reported secret flight from Turkey to Britain has drawn attention because of the extraordinary security measures involved. According to a Washington Post report, Trump was moved from one aircraft to another using a catering truck after boarding what was publicly identified as Air Force One.

But Trump is not the first US president to use a decoy aircraft and an elaborate security operation to conceal his movements. A remarkably similar incident took place in 2000, when then-President Bill Clinton secretly flew into Pakistan aboard an unmarked aircraft while a plane bearing the markings of Air Force One was used as a decoy.
