Donald Trump has warned that 'transgender' issues will 'never end' if Republicans lose ground in the 2026 midterm elections, while urging voters to treat the congressional vote as if he were personally on the ballot.

Trump made the remarks during a 30 August interview with former Republican congressman Trey Gowdy, now a Fox News host, as he argued that a Republican victory was necessary to prevent what he described as 'crazy things' from happening.
