Trump Turnberry Opens Brand New Golf Course

The new Trump Twelve Par-3 Course at Turnberry.

The iconic Trump Turnberry has expanded with a new par-3 course called Trump's Twelve opening at the Ayrshire venue.

The famous Ailsa Course is renowned throughout the golfing world, and has staged the Open Championship four times.

Along with the King Robert the Bruce it makes up 36 holes of incredible golf along the Ayrshire coast, and there's now a new addition in a newly-opened 12-hole par-3 course expanding the Academy offering at the venue.

The unveiling of Trump's Twelve, featuring holes from 70 to 206 yards, follows recent enhancements to the Ailsa course and the development of the on-site PGA-certified Golf Academy and practice facilities.

“Trump Turnberry continues to set the standard for world-class golf," said Eric Trump, Executive VP of The Trump Organisation.

"The Ailsa and King Robert the Bruce are recognised among the finest championship courses anywhere, and Trump’s Twelve completes an exceptional collection by offering something completely different while maintaining the same commitment to quality.

“This new course is another example of our long-term investment in the transformation of Turnberry and our ambition to create unforgettable golfing experiences for every guest who visits the resort.”

Trump's Twelve opens at Turnberry

Trump's Twelve was designed by Trump Turnberry's in-house team and occupies the same land that the Arran Course previously sat on.

A choice of teeing ground on each hole offers diffierent challenges for every standard of golfer, with artificial grass tee-lines installed by SYNLawn UK with the Tee Strike+ technology.

"Trump's Twelve is another exciting addition to what we believe is one of the finest golf experiences anywhere in the world," said Trump Turnberry general manager Nic Oldham.

"It reflects our continued commitment to providing outstanding experiences for every golfer who visits Turnberry."

Turnberry is not currently being considered to host The Open again for a number of reasons, but facilities won't be one of those with the new course joining the line-up at the Trump Turnberry Golf Academy.
