Donald Trump has missed out on the Nobel Peace Prize again, and this year's winner has delivered a quip guaranteed to draw attention.

South African jurist Navanethem 'Navi' Pillay, 85, won the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize on Friday, 9 October, for her efforts to promote peace and international law. As colleagues applauded her achievement, Pillay made a playful reference to the US president's long-running desire for the honour.
