President Donald Trump signaled a shift to economic, rather than military pressure on Iran as a deal remains elusive following Tehran's latest demands to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

"We are low-keying it," Trump told Axios on Sunday. "We are only semi-negotiating with them. We are just watching Iran with its huge inflation and the fact they have no money."
