- President Donald Trump has shared a clip of MAGA rapper Kid Rock making anti-Islam comments regarding Michigan Democratic Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed.
- Speaking on Lara Trump's Fox News show, Kid Rock called El-Sayed a “wolf in sheep's clothing,” saying: “I don’t want my grandkids to one day have to fight some civil war over religious ideology.”
- It comes after Trump repeatedly attacked El-Sayed online ahead of his tight Senate race against Republican Mike Rogers, calling him a “Jihadist lunatic” and “Terrorist Sympathizer” and referring to him as “Mohammad” or Mohammed.”
- During an earlier joint rally appearance in Tennessee, Kid Rock claimed that America would never live under Sharia law, prompting Trump to suggest the musician should run for political office.
- El-Sayed has pushed back against the rhetoric, saying that Trump's deliberate misnaming and inflammatory slurs attack “all of us.”
