Trump says gift given to him by Iran will ‘sail up tomorrow’

President Donald Trump has revealed the gift he was reportedly given by Iran: fully-laden oil tankers.

He said the tankers passed through the Strait of Hormuz under a Pakistani flag, stating, “They said to show you the fact that we're real and solid, and we're going to let you have eight boats of oil, eight boats, eight big boats of oil. This was two days ago, and they'll sail up tomorrow.”

The supposed gift was revealed during a Cabinet meeting after Trump had made cryptic remarks about receiving a “present” from Tehran.

Trump suggested the gesture was part of indirect ceasefire talks facilitated by Pakistan to end the war he initiated.

He also claimed that Iran apologized and agreed they would never possess a nuclear weapon.
