Donald Trump’s war in Iran will cost London families up to £1500 each this year if the conflict continues, a leading City economist warned today.

Paul Dales, the respected chief UK economist at forecasters Capital Economics said the combination of higher garage forecourt fuel prices, higher energy bills, and rising mortgage rates would rapidly take a big chunk out of households.
