Trump mobile is already taking deposits on the ‘gold phone.’ They’re saying it may never be released

Despite already accepting deposits for President Donald Trump’s gold-plated “T1” smartphone, originally expected to launch in August 2025 but now delayed multiple times, updated preorder terms make it clear there is no guarantee the device will ever be released.

“A preorder deposit provides only a conditional opportunity if Trump Mobile later elects, in its sole discretion, to offer the Device for sale,” Trump Mobile, co-founded by Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, says on its preorder terms page about the $100 deposit.
