Trump's Campaign Sees Biden's News Conference As Win-Win

U.S. President Donald Trump, left, and Democratic presidential candidate former Vice President Joe Biden attend the second and final presidential debate Oct. 22, 2020, at Belmont University in Nashvi

Former President Donald Trump's campaign and allies are viewing President Biden's recent news conference as a strategic advantage for their side. Following the highly anticipated event, a Trump campaign official expressed that Biden managed to appease his supporters but also highlighted his perceived weaknesses, reinforcing the notion that American lives are being negatively impacted by his leadership.

Despite calls from within the Democratic Party for Biden to step aside after a lackluster debate performance against Trump, the news conference did not significantly harm his standing. However, it did little to quell the growing movement urging Biden to withdraw from the 2024 re-election race.
